At the beginning of the promenade, you will find an ancient tower watch over a cliff. This is called Torre Bermeja and was built in the 16th century. We will go through the pine forests of la Barrosa where there are some interesting viewpoints (for instance “the magical point”, from which you can see the castle of Sancti Petri (17th century). This castle is part of the line of fortifications that protected the entrance to the spout of the same name.
During this tour you can enjoy the biological diversity of both flora and fauna.
The route ends at the tuna fishing village of Sancti Petri, located at the mouth of the main pipe that feeds the marshes. The port of Sancti Petri offers many possibilities for lunch: from fresh fish to typical Andalusian tapas. One can have a drink and enjoy the fantastic views this place has to offer.

This tour covers a distance of about 11 km. and lasts around 2 hours (including the stops). Return in vehicle to Vejer.
